Home Spa Party
What a great way to start off the summer than with a home spa and your favorite friends. The rejuvenating rituals of the home spa can be easily shared with friends by creating a spa party. Choose a theme and invite your friends over for an evening of renewal at a Moroccan hammam or a tropical spa in Asia. Begin by setting the stage for your event. Create a relaxing ambiance by burning essential oils to create the appropriate mood for your evening. Select relaxing music, light candles and serve herbal or green tea you can serve wine, cheese and grapes if it is late afternoon or evening spa party. A group meditation or a guided visualization is a nice way to begin the spa party and to help all your guests leave their tension at the door. Depending on how much you would like to spend, you can hirer a yoga instructor; massage therapist and someone to help with the facials or have each guest select a partner to work with for the evening.
You can print out on beautiful paper the recipes from here to share or e-mail me Sherri Bostwick if you are looking for something special. Turn your kitchen into an herbal apothecary to create your customized home remedies. At the end of the evening your guest will go home feeling refreshed and renewed and will thank you the following day for the best night sleep they had in years.
Outdoor Massage
This is a great way to enjoy the summer! In the warmer months we often can't wait to get outside to pursue our activities such as hiking or gardening with overzealous enthusiasm. The next day our bodies humbly remind us of our limits. This rescue ritual is aimed not only at restoring sore muscle but also at encouraging us to take some time to rest.
You can have your massage therapist come to your home or you can do this with a partner, friend or a mate. Find a shady area under a tree or garden pergola to set up you massage table (if you don't have a massage table place a large blanket on the ground). If you are doing this with a friend or love one have them lie on the table or blanket in a comfortable position, take 3 deep diaphragmatic breaths to encourage relaxation. Pour warm oil into your hands. Gently glide, knead working on sore muscle. You can find great spa recipes here or pick massage & bath oils in our Fitness Chi Natural Skin Care Line.
Enjoy & have fun this summer,
